Finding debtors

The profile of debtors:

The debtors are initially presented as trusted persons, sometimes even acquaintances. When they manage to extract the amount of money they want, they usually disappear and do not maintain any communication with the “victim”. Sometimes they communicate by telephone, pretending that they will pay the amount due within a certain period of time. In other cases, such as online fraud, they present themselves as trustworthy salesmen or borrowers and then after the amount has been extracted the trail disappears.

In other cases they try and may succeed in scamming credit cards or bank accounts. Recently it has been reported sending messages pretending to be public bodies for refunds etc. The details given by the debtors are often false old or even of another person. This disorientates the “victim” by not having real details, picture and communication with the debtor, thus making it impossible to claim the amount.
